The County Department of Public Works resumed work today on the construction of nine-foot shoulders on both sides of the Waikoloa Road, from Mamahaloa Highway (Route 190) to Queen Kaahumanu Highway (Route 19).

The County Department of Public Works resumed work today on the construction of nine-foot shoulders on both sides of the Waikoloa Road, from Mamahaloa Highway (Route 190) to Queen Kaahumanu Highway (Route 19).

Roadwork is scheduled between the hours of 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, except holidays. Estimated completion is two to three months, weather and construction conditions permitting.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and to drive with caution as heavy vehicles and machinery will be in the work zone. Alternate-lane closures will be in effect during the construction period.
